An update...

As I haven't written a post for a few weeks, I thought I'd give you all a bit of an update.

The snow has returned  here in Leeds, and it looks like the chance of Spring appearing is on hold for now. The bad weather has an upside though - I've had a bit more time to plan some things for this blog.

I've finally written an "About me" page which you can find here. I'd been putting this off a bit as I sometimes find it difficult to write about myself! 

I'm honoured to have been asked to guest post by +Samantha Minny of Planet Bake Life. The post is entitled "What Bread Means To Me", so I have been baking some more bread recently (the bread pictures on this post are from a recent bake) as I hadn't made a loaf in the last 6 months or so.

I've been working on writing the post recently and I'll make sure to post a link here when it's done!

I'm also really pleased to be a winner of Sam's Planet Bake Life March Giveaway.

As part of the giveaway, I've won a large advert for 30 days, which you can see over on Planet Bake Life.

I've also won a dedicated Pinterest board for 30 days which you can see here. I'm hoping to pin some more later on!

I also received a copy of 3 of Sam's personal recipes, never before seen on her site. They sound delicious - I can't wait to give them a go!

Ready to bake!

Easter is coming up shortly, and I'm really hoping to get some Easter related baking done. I'm looking forward to the Great British Bake Off special on Tuesday night! I wonder what they'll be baking?

Recently, I've been asked to make a birthday cake for a colleague's partner. The cake is due for the end of April, and all I can tell you is it contains chocolate and bikes! I'll be posting the recipe and some pictures once the birthday boy has seen it.

My Mr's birthday is also at the end of April, so I'm trying to decide what to bake for him too.

I've been thinking about the blog moving forward, and I've been planning a couple of "Review" posts, and also (if things turn out well!) a small review/interview post of some local bakers.

These plans are still in the early stages, so if there's anything you'd like to see feel free to let me know!
